Loving Touch Pet Sitters

The pet care industry is a booming business and as in any business there are some pet sitting services that are un-professional and have a lack of ethics and integrity. I would like to pass along a few tips on what to do when you interview a pet sitter to care for your pets. 

1. Some people will tell you they are professionals or are certified, ask them to see certifications, documents and paperwork to prove it, don't just take their word for it. 

2. Ask for a list of customer referrals so you can talk to other clients and get their view of the sitters quality of work

3. Make the sitter aware they will be responsible for the safety of your house, your property and most important your pets ask them what they will do to keep things safe while your gone.

4. Ask who will be entering your home, Some sitters work alone, some work with assistants and some have a group of people that work for them and will have whoever is available make the visit. (This is not recommended). Be aware who is in your house.

5. Be honest with the pet sitter, let them know if your pets have any health or behavior problems, they are not there to judge you and its not fair to you, your sitter and your pets if your pets have issues that the pet sitter is unaware of.
